The Character group specialises in wedding packages and has four wedding venues across the beautiful Isle of Wight. Every wedding is different and is tailored to the exact requirement s of the couple. Within this leaflet you will see that we have various boutique hotels, the smugglers barn and public house and the bugle coaching inn. Each place is very special and offers something unique from all the others.
You will see that your packages cater for various numbers of guests and you can pick and choose your requirements from your available budget. Your special day can include a ceremy at our venue, a local church or a venue of your choice. You can have a full 3 course sit down meal , live music or a buffet, it is totally up to you
To experience the venues we would recommend that you allow us to excort you around the Island so that you can see for your self and hopefully far in love with one particular venue. The Buddle smugglers Inn is a 17th century public house and has been providing hospitality to travellers and guests for many centuries and has retained all the features and atmosphere that makes the Buddle a very special place indeed.
Located overlooking the English channel and st Catherine’s lighthouse beyond the Bugle has such charm that would grace any wedding. As well as the public house the venue offers a beutifull garden for ceromies and its very own private smuggers barn with private bar. The venue can cater for upto 45 for a sit down meal and upto 120 for live music and buffet.
The venue does not house accommodation but we can cater for 7 or 9 boutique rooms at our sister venues and all packages include carriages to and from these hotels.
